Barcelona's 53-year record DESTROYED by 'two Scots from Gran Canaria' with shock loss at home to Las Palmas in La Liga

Las Palmas shattered Barcelona's 53-year unbeaten home record against them on Saturday, as goals from Sandro Ramirez and Fabio Silva propelled the visitors to a historic win. Two Scots were involved in the win; McKenna started at centre-back, while McBurnie was introduced as a second-half substitute.

Las Palmas boss Martinez has hailed the "two brilliant Scots", who he believes have made Gran Canaria their home. McBurnie has not scored in La Liga yet, but he has registered three assists, including one against Real Madrid. McKenna has made 10 La Liga starts.

Martinez told reporters when asked what the win meant to their local players: "I don’t like to differentiate. Because we are a team. Las Palmas are 14th in La Liga and are next in action against lower-league Europa in the Copa del Rey second round. Barcelona face Mallorca in La Liga.
