Barcelona are FINALLY stopped! Levante end Barca Femeni's five-year, 79-game home winning streak as perfect Liga F start goes up in smoke

The Blaugranas are the indisputable Queen of Spain as they have conquered Liga F on eight occasions since their inaugural win in 2011-12. They have been a force to reckon with at home as they had won 79 matches in a row across all competitions.

However, their mesmerizing run, which started back in 2019, came to a screeching halt on Wednesday as Lucy Bronze and Co. were held to a draw by Levante. Salma Paralluelo opened the scoring for the hosts but Alba Redondo's 55th-minute equaliser stopped their juggernaut.

It is the first time that Barcelona women have failed to win a game at the Johan Cruyff Arena. However, they still sit comfortably at the top of the standings with a nine-point advantage over second-placed Real Madrid.

After a subdued performance against Levante, Jonatan Giraldez's troops will be eager to get back to winning ways as quickly as possible. However, they face a stern test against Atletico Madrid in their next fixture on Sunday.
