Barcelona desperate to bring €60m-rated academy product Dani Olmo back from RB Leipzig

According to Mundo Deportivo, talks have commenced between Barcelona and the player's representatives regarding the transfer of Olmo, who is eager to depart the German side in the upcoming summer transfer window. Notably, Olmo's contract includes a €60 million release clause which allows Barcelona to bypass negotiations with the Bundesliga outfit.

A product of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, Olmo took an unconventional career path, journeying through Dinamo Zagreb before joining RB Leipzig. Now, the possibility of a return to Camp Nou looms large for the versatile forward, signalling a potential homecoming for the promising talent.

Positive discussions have already taken place, with Deco, Olmo's representatives and his father, Miquel Olmo. With an eye on expediting the transfer before the Euro Cup to preempt competition from other clubs, Barcelona are eager to wrap up business as quickly as possible.

Olmo's versatility on the field makes him an attractive prospect for Barcelona. The forward is capable of operating across various attacking positions, including the left and right-wing and even as a false nine.
