Sancho continues to be in exile at Man Utd
Basler questions Sancho's personality
Suggested that Bayern would never sign him
WHAT HAPPENED?
Basler is well-remembered by the Red Devils faithful as he found the net for Bayern on the fateful night at Camp Nou that saw Sir Alex Ferguson's United secure the treble by winning the 1999 Champions League final. He believes that Sancho will never be pursued by the Bavarians because his personality does not match the ethos of the club.
It has been reported that despite being in exile, Sancho has not been punctual and has missed sessions at Carrington, where he is currently training with the academy players. Basler, 51, said to The Sun: "Bayern are very strict and, when they sign a player, his personality will have to fit in with the club. Sancho may be a good footballer but Bayern would not sign him because he’s not what they look for in a person. Sancho was already a troublemaker in Dortmund. His attitude is a problem and he has to change it.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ten Hag remains adamant that Sancho will not be re-integrated into the squad until the England international submits his apology to the coach. However, that remains unlikely as the footballer seems to be looking for a fresh challenge after being left out in the cold for several months.

A couple of clubs have been linked with Sancho as he is looking to revive his career with an exit from Old Trafford in the January transfer window. There have been reports that Barcelona are considering a swap deal with Raphinha for the winger, while his former club Borussia Dortmund are keen to send Donyell Malen to Old Trafford as a makeweight to get the 23-year-old.
