    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Young's move comes as Ipswich Town look to rebuild after their relegation from the Premier League last season. With 485 top-flight appearances and trophies in England and Italy, his experience could be vital for the Tractor Boys. It’s also a reunion of sorts with McKenna, who worked with Young during his time at Manchester United.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Watford reportedly wanted Young to be a leader and even considered him for the captaincy. However, the Hornets were unable to meet his wage demands, paving the way for Ipswich Town to strike a deal with the 40-year-old.
