  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Saka underwent hamstring surgery and has since been sidelined as he recovers from the injury he sustained during Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on December 21. Meanwhile, White has also been out of action after undergoing knee surgery in November. The defender last featured for the club in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea on November 10.

    According to The Mirror,White and Saka have boarded the flight to Dubai where the Gunners will look to regroup and recharge ahead of a crucial run-in to their campaign. While neither player is fully fit yet, they will continue their rehabilitation program alongside the squad in warmer conditions, which could aid their recovery process.

    Following Arsenal’s elimination from the Carabao Cup, Arteta spoke about the importance of using the break in Dubai and said: "Especially when we lose a game, physically we were tired and you know we played so many games, we played so many games every three days. Now we have to look forward, first of all, I think this is going to be a painful one, and when we’re in Dubai, recharge and go again because we still have a lot to play for."

    With the title race heating up, Arteta will be hoping that the Dubai camp rejuvenates his squad and helps them regain momentum for the crucial weeks ahead.
