Antony lined up for reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo as Al-Nassr launch transfer swoop for Man Utd flop after missing out on Raphinha

Per Football Insider, Antony is being lined up by Al-Nassr as they seek a new winger this summer, with an initial approach already made. The Saudi Arabian club had been interested in Barcelona's Raphinha, but have now reportedly switched their attention to Antony, who played alongside Ronaldo for the Red Devils in the first half of the 2022-23 season.

Antony has endured a nightmare spell at United, having arrived for a staggering £85m ($108m) fee in 2022. In 82 appearances he has registered just 16 goal involvements, and United are aware they are likely to have to absorb a major loss when he finally does move on.

While United would prefer to sell Antony this summer, Football Insider claims they are open to allowing him to leave on loan, provided his £100,000-per-week wages are covered. His contract still has three years left to run so a temporary move may prove more financially viable.

It remains to be seen if Anthony will play when United face Manchester City in the Community Shield this weekend. Erik ten Hag's side are due to open their new Premier League campaign at home to Fulham on August 16.
