    WHAT HAPPENED?

The under-pressure goalkeeper produced eight saves to record his sixth Premier League clean sheet of the season—tied with Everton's Jordan Pickford for the most by a keeper—as his side stood firm and determined to avoid defeat at the hands of the league leaders. Although the squad achieved a commendable result, Onana maintains that more work is required.

  • WHAT ONANA SAID

"We are Manchester United, we are one of the biggest clubs in the world and, against every opponent we play, we want to win," Onana told MUTV.

"We got one point, we fight together, we show a lot of character, a lot of personality but it's not enough. We have to try to win the game. Unfortunately, we didn't. We have to put the standard higher. Doesn't matter who we play, we have to go to win."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The draw was pivotal for the Red Devils as Erik Ten Hag's men attempt to put behind their extremely embarrassing exit from Europe as they finished fourth in a group of Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray. They currently sit in seventh place, five points behind Tottenham Hotspur who occupy the final Champions League spot of the season.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?

Onana's side will take the field again on Saturday, December 23 when they take on David Moyes' West Ham as they look to overtake Newcastle United in sixth place.
