Amad Diallo's a wanted man! Man Utd snub £30m offer from European 'giant' as they plan new contract talks

The 21-year-old forward endured a largely frustrating 2023-24 campaign, with a pre-season injury setting him back while looking to build on a productive loan spell at Sunderland. Amad did slowly come into favour under Erik ten Hag, scoring in FA Cup and Premier League wins over Liverpool and Newcastle.

His potential has never been in question, but a lack of regular game time has generated transfer talk. According to HITC, a heavyweight outfit have made their move for Amad. The approach was given short shrift, however, with United having “zero interest” in discussing a sale.

Rather than enter into talks regarding a move elsewhere, United are more concerned with opening discussions regarding a new deal for Amad. His current contract is due to expire in 2025, although those terms do include the option for a 12-month extension.

United are reportedly ready to put an entirely new agreement in place, as they begin work with sporting director Dan Ashworth on board, and Amad would appear to have a role to play in short and long-term thinking at Old Trafford.
