Alisha Lehmann sends loved up birthday message to boyfriend Douglas Luiz ahead of Aston Villa's Europa Conference League showdown

The Brazilian midfielder has celebrated turning 26 on May 9. He does not have much time for festivities, with Unai Emery’s side in Greece as they take aim at a continental final and a shot at major silverware.

Luiz is currently separated from his partner, who has been making the most of time off in Villa’s women’s camp to enjoy a sunshine break in London, with the pair having rekindled their relationship towards the end of 2023.

Lehmann has, however, made a point of expressing her devotion to Luiz on social media. The Switzerland international has posted on Instagram: “Happy birthday my life, I wish you all the best and may all your dreams come true, you are the most loving and caring person I know. Today is your day, I love you so much my love.”

Luiz is preparing to face Olympiacos with Villa trailing their semi-final showdown 4-2 on aggregate. Lehmann, meanwhile, is counting down the days to the last round of fixtures in the WSL campaign – with Villa preparing to play host to title-chasing Manchester City.
