'Disrespectful sh*thouse' - Alexander Isak torn to shreds after breaking silence on transfer feud with Newcastle as wantaway striker tries to force Liverpool move

Isak skipped the PFA's awards gala on Tuesday despite being nominated for the main prize. The Swedish striker, who was the second-highest goal-scorer in the Premier League last campaign, was named in the PFA Team of the Season. The Sweden international released a statement thanking the PFA for the honour, but he also launched attack on his current employers.

The bombshell statement from Isak annoyed a lot of football fans in general, as many slammed the striker for his public outburst.

A West Ham fan handle named West Ham Place posted: "Alexander Isak stating publicly that he wants to leave Newcastle. Even by Isak’s standards, this guy is a disrespectful sh*thouse."

The X handle Pendz wrote: "Isak is why you should never fall in love with a player - and that no player is bigger than a club. To let him go now shows weakness and will leave a problem that will outlast the short term issues of keeping him. Let him stay, fine him and send him packing in three years time."

Mickey Suavo shared: "This puts the selling club in such a crap position. Newcastle should just get on with it."

Thomas posted on X: "So making your move is whining on Instagram now? What has football come to?"

True chels advised the Magpies to demote the player to their youth team. "Newcastle should send him to the reserves then," they wrote

Isak accused Newcastle of breaking promises while claiming that he had informed the club of his desire to leave long ago. He also stated that his relationship with the club is now over. It was reported on Monday that Liverpool have decided that Isak is their top transfer target and are not actively pursuing Bradley Barcola despite internal discussions. The Reds admire the Paris Saint-Germain winger but view the Swedish striker as the key player to lead their attack.

Isak's sudden outburst in a public forum will surely affect Eddie Howe's side, especially as they are gearing up to face the Reds in their next Premier League match on August 25, the club their star player is actively pushing to join.
