The ex-Oasis frontman, who is known to be a fan of the Cityzens, had hit out at Shearer after the England legend questioned Pep Guardiola over his rant against the FA regarding the scheduling of their FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea just three days after their Champions League fixture against Real Madrid.

The former Newcastle star asked Guardiola if he should have made more changes in the lineup against the Blues to counter fatigue. The question did not go down well with the celebrity City fan who told the pundit to 'f*ck off' while replying to a user's X post.

Responding to the singer's attack, Shearer quoted his post and wrote on X, "Oh come on Liam. Don’t look back in anger man!"

The reigning champions will be back in action in the Premier League on Thursday as they take on Brighton in a difficult away fixture.
