With the transfer window active until February 15, NEROCA have decided to rope in Australian midfielder Nick Ward. The club has released midfielder Akhlidin Israilov due to his unimpressive performances.
The 32-year-old will join the newly introduced I-League side from Bentleigh Greens who play in NPL Victoria. Apart from his stints at Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory and a loan move to Brighton & Hove Albion, Ward has also represented Australia at the U-20 and U-23 level.
The club is set to release Akhlidin Israilov following his unimpressive form in the season. ‘’The mutual termination has been signed with the player (Akhlidin Israilov) and he will be leaving the club on February 15 after the Churchill Brothers (February 14) match,’’ a club official told IANS.
NEROCA are placed second on the points table and are looking to give a tough fight to Minerva Punjab for the championship. The Chandigarh-based outfit lead by two points with a game in hand.
