'He's always right' - Mahrez hails 'prophetic' Pep Guardiola 

Riyad Mahrez has hailed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola for his work ethic and 'right' tactical approaches to games.

The 27-year-old who moved to the Etihad Stadium for a club-record fee in June and he has enjoyed a decent start to life in Manchester.

With three goals already in 10 matches across competitions, the Algerian winger raves about the qualities that distinguish Guardiola from other coaches he had in the past.

“Even when we win games 6-1 or 6-0, he tells us ‘We can do better, I saw the game yesterday, we can improve," Mahrez told Onze Mondial in an interview alongside teammate Benjamin Mendy.

"He works so much. I’ve had many coaches, and I’ve never had one who works so much. He works too much.”

“Everything he tells you about an opponent happens. Everything he tells you that week happens. When he says ‘They’ll play like that’, that’s how they play. He’s always right, it’s mad.”

Mahrez who has been limited to substitute roles five times in seven Premier League games this term will hope to have a starter's shirt when the reigning Premier League champions take on Liverpool on Sunday.
