As the game went into its seventh minute of stoppage time, Hajduk had claims for a penalty waved away by the referee.

The incident caused a lively reaction between the board members, as a fight broke out between Hajduk president Ivan Kos, director of football Mario Branco, Dinamo chief executive Tomislav Svetina and financial director Matej Skegro.

Police spokeswoman Antonela Lolic said: "Ten people were brought to police station to give a statement on the incident in the VIP box at Poljud Stadium."

Dinamo director Svetina told Goal that the incident occurred because of their celebrations.

"If they consider our goal celebration as provocation, than yes, we did provoke them," he said. "We celebrated and then angry Branco came right in front of my nose!"
