Congolese striker Dieumerci Mbokani returns to Dynamo Kyiv

After spending two seasons in the Premier League on loan to Norwich City and Hull City, Congolese attacker Dieumerci Mbokani has returned to Dynamo Kyiv

Mbokani returns Kyiv after his bid to secure another loan move away from the Ukrainian outfit went futile as he allegedly failed his medical in the eve of his proposed move to Olympiakos recently.

But the 31-year-old says he is now ready to honour the remainder of his contract at the Olimpiyskiy Complex.

“I have a valid contract with Dynamo Kyiv,” he said.

“So I went back to Kyivv with a goal, to play football.

“The team is led by a new coach and I hope that now nothing will stop us from showing good football.”

Mbokani recently led Kyiv’s line up in the Ukrainian Super Cup 2-0 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk and says he is looking forward to a successful season.

“The preparation is good, but I'm still not 100%. It is necessary to take again the automatisms, resume the game with his team-mates, to fine-tune the combinations. With the help of coaches, it will be good in the near future.
