Agent: Nice won’t sell Arsenal and Roma target Jean Michael Seri

Fifa accredited player agent Oscar Damiani has been quoted saying that Roma and Arsenal can forget about Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri as Nice are not preparing to sell the player who is contracted to them until June 2019.

The diminutive midfielder grabbed a lot of attention as he scored seven goals and added nine assists in Ligue 1 last season while helping Nice to a third-place finish and will battle it out for a UEFA Champions League ticket in the qualifiers.

“Roma and Arsenal need to give up on Jean-Michael Seri because Nice is not going to sell him,” Damiani was quoted saying by TMW Radio.

“I know that Seri will remain in Nice because they are not going to sell him.”

Indeed Damian could’ve been correct as this was further certified by Nice manager Lucien Favre who told reporters that the Ligue 1 side is done selling players after Paul Baysse, Ricardo Pereira, Anastasios Donis and Younes Belhanda have all already left the club this summer.

"Seri? He stays, that's definitive,” Favre said.

"We've lost four starting players. That's enough. It's not easy to replace them."

The two clubs and Spanish giants, Barcelona, have all been reported to be eyeing midfielder who turns 26 later this month.
