Wolves vs Liverpool Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Wolves will be the latest team to try and beat Liverpool in the Premier League this season when the two sides meet at Molineux on Thursday evening.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were unlucky to lose the reverse fixture 1-0 at Anfield after having a goal ruled out by VAR for offside, and will be in good spirits after coming back from two goals down to beat Southampton on Saturday.

Liverpool, though, extended their lead at the top of the table to 16 points with a 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday that also made it seven league games in a row with a clean sheet.

Wolves vs Liverpool Latest Odds

Wolves have won four of their last eight Premier League games in front of their own fans and can be backed at 19/4 (5.75) with bet365 to become the first team in over 12 months to beat the Reds in this competition.

Thirteen of Liverpool’s last 14 away Premier League games have resulted in a victory for them and they are 8/13 (1.61) to win their 22nd game of the season.

It has been almost 10 years to the day since a fixture between these two sides in any competition finished in a draw but you can get 14/5 (3.80) on a first stalemate since January 2010.

Wolves vs Liverpool Team News

Willy Boly is nearing a return after breaking his ankle in October but this match comes far too soon for him. Pedro Neto should start after scoring two goals in his last three games.

Liverpool welcomed Fabinho back against Manchester United but he is unlikely to play 90 minutes at Molineux, with Joel Matip an unused substitute in that match. Dejan Lovren could feature but Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita and James Milner are all out.

Wolves vs Liverpool Preview

Liverpool’s march towards a maiden Premier League title took a big step forward on Sunday, with victory over rivals United allowing them to take advantage of Manchester City drawing at home to Crystal Palace the day before.

Despite boasting the second-best attack in the league with 52 goals to their name, five of their last six fixtures have seen them score either once or twice and subsequently win without conceding.

Jurgen Klopp’s men could have their work cut out to improve that scoring output at Molineux, where Wolves have proven themselves to be a difficult side to score multiple times against.

Indeed, only Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea have managed to score more than once away at Wolves this season whilst Liverpool only managed one goal in the reverse fixture.

Wolves vs Liverpool Tips and Predictions

With Liverpool having kept seven consecutive clean sheets and Wolves rarely conceding multiple times in front of their own fans, the Evens (2.0) price on under 2.5 goals offers good value for this Premier League clash on Thursday night.
