PFA Player of the Year Betting: Mane favourite for award ahead of De Bruyne and Salah

The race to be named PFA Player of the Year is reaching a pivotal stage, with the second half of the Premier League season now underway.

Liverpool are leading the way after picking up an astonishing 64 points from their opening 22 games and so it is little surprise to see eight of their players make up the top 12 of the betting market.

This market is available in the 'Outright' section of the 'Premier League' markets.

Sadio Mane is 5/4 (2.25) favourite with bet365 thanks to 11 goals and six assists this season – putting him fifth in terms of goal involvements.

The Senegal forward came fourth in Ballon d’Or voting in November and has scored important winners against Aston Villa and Wolves to elevate Liverpool to the top of the table.

Mane’s team-mate and Reds captain Jordan Henderson is 5/1 (6.0) after pulling the strings in midfield all season, with the England midfielder being instrumental to his side’s title challenge.

Kevin De Bruyne is also available at 5/1 (6.0), having already racked up seven goals and a mammoth 15 assists in just 22 starts so far to confirm his place as one of the mercurial talents in the top-flight.

No full-back has ever won the PFA Player of the Year award in its 46-year history and Trent Alexander-Arnold is aiming to buck that trend at 7/1 (8.0) odds with bet365.

The 21-year-old has provided nine assists in the Premier League this season and his tally of 19 since the beginning of the 2018/19 campaign is the most by any player.

Current holder Virgil van Dijk became only the sixth defender to win the award last term and is 10/1 (11.0) to be the first player since Cristiano Ronaldo to retain the trophy.

Mohamed Salah famously took the crown after scoring 32 goals during his debut season at Anfield and is 12/1 (13.0) to make it two wins in three years.

Premier League top scorer Jamie Vardy is available at 14/1 (15.0) after plundering 17 goals in just 21 appearances, including a hat-trick in Leicester’s 9-0 win at Southampton in October.

Raheem Sterling has not quite been up to his usual consistent standards this season, with five of his 11 goals coming inside the first three matches, but still offers good value at 20/1 (21.0).

His Manchester City Sergio Aguero could see plenty of wagers at 25/1 (26.0), with the Argentine on 16 goals for the campaign and could become the third-highest Premier League scorer of all time by May.

Liverpool’s Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino and Fabinho are both 50/1 (51.0) whilst Alisson can be found at 100/1 (101.0) with bet365.
