Manchester City set to knockout Leicester on Boxing Day

After a shock loss to Crystal Palace before Christmas, expect Manchester City to bounce back quickly against Leicester City.

The Foxes have become Pep Guardiola's ideal prey in recent seasons - winless across their past five clashes with City chasing a fourth straight Premier League win against them.

Leicester have in fact won just two of their last 16 games against City in all competitions with their Boxing Day record not set to do them any favours.

Since being promoted back to the top-flight, the Foxes have lost all four of their Premier League Boxing Day games, while City have won eight of their last ten.

History however could be blown out the window considering a surprise contrast in form for both over a busy period.

Leicester are riding high after beating Chelsea 1-0 in their last outing, while Guardiola's side must bounce back after a 3-2 defeat to Palace.

The shock loss means City have now lost two of their past three Premier League games - as many as they’d lost in their previous 61 matches in the competition.

Up their sleeve is a fit again Sergio Aguero, who ran riot against the Foxes in February as he scored four in a 5-1 win.

Leicester meanwhile have Jamie Vardy to call on, who after scoring the winner against Chelsea continues to deliver against top six sides.

While there's an extra layer of uncertainty to this match than there would have been a month ago, it's hard to see City slipping up again as they look to get their Premier League campaign back on track with a Leicester City sucker punch.
