Manchester United have opened talks with defender Chris Smalling over a £120,000-a-week deal, claims the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6415515/Manchester-United-defender-Chris-Smalling-talks-new-120-000-week-deal.html" target="_blank">Daily Mail.&nbsp;</a> Smalling&nbsp;has one year left to run on his current deal, and is looking to increase his current salary of&nbsp;£80,000 per week to&nbsp;£120,000 per week. United have the option to activate a 12-month extension on Smalling's current deal, but both sides would prefer to agree a new contract.&nbsp;

West Ham midfielder Reece Oxford is determined to stay in the Premier League even if he has to leave the Hammers, reports <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/7797453/west-ham-transfer-news-reece-oxford-staying/" target="_blank">The Sun.&nbsp;</a> The 19-year-old has yet to feature for the West Ham senior team this season after spending last term on loan in Germany with&nbsp;Borussia Monchengladbach.
