Brighton vs Chelsea Predictions: Premier League Matchweek 14 Match Odds & Best Bets

Brighton (4-3-4) will host Chelsea (6-3-2) this weekend at the Amex Stadium during Matchweek 14 of the Premier League.

The Blues enter this weekend on a nine-match unbeaten streak, having not lost in the Premier League since August while getting a result in their previous four Champions League fixtures. Meanwhile, the Seagulls are winless in the EPL in their last five matches, having last secured a victory back on Sept. 4 against Leicester City.

Graham Potter will be making his first appearance back on the south coast since leaving Brighton to manage Chelsea in early September.

Will the hosts show up their former manager at home to retain a top-10 position in the table? Or will the visitors extend their unbeaten streak? Let’s look at current betting lines to find best bets and props for Brighton vs Chelsea.

Brighton vs Chelsea Odds

  • 3-way handicap: Brighton (+180) | Draw (+230) |Chelsea (+150)
  • Draw No Bet: Brighton (+105) | Chelsea (-135)
  • Over/Under Goals: Over 2.5 (-100) | Under 2.5 (-135)
  • Both Teams to Score: Yes (-130) | No (-110)

Brighton vs Chelsea odds are current as of Wednesday, Oct. 26, on BetMGM Sportsbook.

Chelsea enters the match as a modest favorite with no significant lean in the Over/Under. This seems like a fantastic time to ride the Blues in a simple 3-way handicap wager at +150, as they are usually not available at such favorable odds.

Brighton vs Chelsea Prediction

Brighton 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea have not been at their best away from Stamford Bridge this season, averaging one goal per match, with their only two losses coming on the road. However, the Blues are in top form right now and have yet to lose a Premier League match under Potter.

A significant reason for the side from London’s recent success is the performance of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard is averaging 4.2 saves per match with a success rate of 91%.

Brighton will look to break through Kepa’s defense with forward Leandro Trossard, who averages one shot on target per match while having netted six of the Seagulls’ 15 goals this season. However, they will need a larger effort from their own Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sánchez if they are going to earn a result against Chelsea.

Look for the Blues to continue their newfound creativity on offense under Potter, utilizing Mason Mount, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, Armando Broja, and Christian Pulisic in the attack.

There are so many Chelsea forwards listed above because it is nearly impossible to predict the starting eleven. Potter seems to change his formation and tactics every single match, yet so far it appears to have worked well.

Brighton vs Chelsea Best Bets

➕ Chelsea Wins (+150) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

I would consider placing a wager on “Chelsea Wins & Both Teams Score” to increase profit potential, but given Kepa’s recent form I am not going to bet against a clean sheet for the Blues.

At least in combination with my primary bet for the match.

➕ Chelsea Wins: Exact Score 1-2 (+850) at BetMGM

WAGER: 1 Unit

As mentioned above, I was not comfortable tying a “Both Teams Score” bet to our primary wager, but I do think Brighton finds the back of the net with Chelsea still missing Reece James, Wesley Fofana, and potentially Kalidou Koulibaly.

Rather than taking the -130 odds for each team to score, I prefer to simply ride my exact score prediction in this match for a more significant payoff.
