The Blues maintained their fantastic form with a comprehensive 3-1 victory against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge last weekend and, having failed to win just two of their last 18 top flight fixtures, Antonio Conte’s men look to be closing in on the Premier League title.
Conte's men battered Burnley when these two teams met in west London back in August, with Chelsea cruising to a 3-0 victory and Paddy Power offer just 2/5 (1.40) that the league leaders take all three points from their trip to Turf Moor.
Sean Dyche’s side, though, have a remarkable record on home soil; indeed, all but one of Burnley’s 29 Premier League points so far this season have been picked up on home turf, with the Clarets winning each of their last seven home matches in all competitions.
Burnley can be backed at 15/2 (8.50) to further extend their terrific record at Turf Moor by coming out on top in this one, while there is 7/2 (4.50) that the match remains deadlocked at the end of 90 minutes.
The hosts have conceded just a single goal in their last six home matches, but Chelsea have failed to find the net in only one of their last nine Premier League matches away from home and the odds compilers offer a chunky 11/2 (6.50) that the Clarets keep a clean sheet against the high-flying Blues.
Defensive discipline, too, has been a key cornerstone of Chelsea’s success so far this season; indeed, the Blues have conceded just one goal in their last seven away wins and, with Conte’s charges brimming with belief, the 5/4 (2.25) quote for the league leaders to win without conceding certainly carries some appeal.
Better value, though, lies in backing fewer than three goals when these two teams lock horns; the selection would have landed in five of Burnley’s last six matches at Turf Moor, as well as in seven of Chelsea’s last nine league matches on their travels and, at 10/11 (1.91) with Paddy Power, the price is worthy of support again ahead of Sunday’s showdown.
