Revealed: The full fee Man City could end up paying for Tijjani Reijnders and how AC Milan could pocket big bonuses from Dutch midfielder's transfer

According to a financial report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the full details surrounding Reijnders' transfer operation from AC Milan to Manchester City have now been revealed. The report claims that the Italian side could pocket a big chunk in bonuses until 2030.

Milan will receive an immediate €57.7 million (£50m/$68m) from Man City for Reijnders, slightly more than the initially reported €55m (£47m/$64m). The Rossoneri have carefully structured a bonus system that could see the total fee rise to €70.7m by 2030, the year Reijnders' contract with City expires.

The agreement includes performance-based add-ons worth up to €14m (£12m/$16.3m), covering both individual and team achievements. Bonuses include: €5m for Champions League qualification, €1m for winning the Premier League, €1m if Reijnders is named Premier League Player of the Year, €2m for a Ballon d'Or win, €2m for a Champions League title, and €3m spread across possible renewals through 2032. However, if Reijnders is sold before 2030, Milan will still receive the full €14m, unless no bonus conditions are met or the Dutchman leaves on a free transfer.

Reijnders, who will turn 27 this month, is currently enjoying vacation following the Cityzens' shock round of 16 exit at the hands of Al-Hilal. He is expected to return to pre-season duty later this month, with a friendly against Italian side Palermo scheduled for August 10, less than a week before their Premier League campaign kicks off with a match against Wolves.
