  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Brazil international was forced off during Madrid's 4-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday and now the club have confirmed he has suffered an issue in his left leg. Reports suggest the 23-year-old will be out for around five or six weeks, ruling him out of Los Blancos' trip to Liverpool in the Champions League on November 27.

    WHAT REAL MADRID SAID

    A statement on the club's website reads: "Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player Rodrygo, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the rectus abdominis muscle in his left leg. His progress will be monitored."

    Madrid are facing something of an injury crisis as David Alaba, Daniel Carvajal, and Eder Militao are all out with anterior cruciate ligament problems while goalkeeper Thibaut Courtiois is already sidelined, too. This may be an extra tough season for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
