Manchester United handed huge transfer boost! West Ham deal to sign Noussair Mazraoui OFF as Irons fail to agree personal terms, opening door to Red Devils swoop

The 26-year-old Moroccan international was on the brink of joining the Hammers from Bayern Munich in a deal valued at €15.5 million (£13m/$17m) with an additional €4 million (£3m/$4m) in potential add-ons. However, according to Sky Sports Germany, negotiations have hit a stumbling block, paving the way for United to step in.

Despite an agreement between West Ham and Bayern Munich, discussions regarding personal terms between the Premier League club and Mazraoui's representatives failed to reach a conclusion. This breakdown led West Ham to withdraw from the talks, leaving the door open for the Red Devils - who are already believed to be in "advanced talks" with the player.

The collapse of the Mazraoui deal is a significant setback for West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui. Their need for a robust full-back option became even more critical following the departure of academy graduate Ben Johnson to newly-promoted Ipswich Town as a free agent.

If United indeed manage to get the Mazraoui deal over the line, then they will look to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The full-back has reportedly set his heart on Inter Milan and with his contract expiring in June 2025, the sporting management at United would look to cash in on the player in this window.
