  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Messi has been left in Miami while his wife Roccuzzo traveled to Italy to catch up with Simanovich and Semaan, the partners of Roberto and Fabregas respectively, sharing a photo on Instagram. While the Argentinian GOAT has been plying his trade in Major League Soccer for the past few seasons, Roberto left Barcelona last year to join Serie A side Como, who are currently managed by Fabregas.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The three stars played together with Barcelona between 2011 and 2014, with Fabregas having the shortest stint of the trio. He still racked up 151 appearances and won six trophies during his time in Catalunya before leaving for Chelsea, where he was a two-time Premier League winner. Messi and Roberto, meanwhile, featured in 245 games together before Messi was unceremoniously given the boot in 2021 due to Barcelona's poor financial situation.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

While Roccuzzo is enjoying a trip to Europe, Messi has been resuming MLS duties after Inter Miami's participation in the Club World Cup. He is in a typically incredible run of form, scoring eight goals in his past five matches alongside two assists, helping the Herons rise up to fifth in the Eastern Conference.
