Cruz Azul II Overview

Amakhosi have been handed a significant injury concern after young attacker Luke Baartman was forced off during South Africa U23’s international friendly against Algeria. The promising forward was unable to complete the first half, adding to the growing list of fitness worries for the Glamour Boys medical staff.

The Zimbabwean forward has emerged as the breakout star of the Betway Premiership this season, propelling Usuthu into the upper reaches of the table. His ruthless efficiency in front of goal has now caught the eye of legendary figures within the South African game.

Amakhosi could be set to integrate another academy gem into the senior setup following a stunning COSAFA U20 tournament for Steven Mendes. The young midfielder has returned to Naturena with his stock at an all-time high after spearheading South Africa's youth success on the regional stage.
