Wazito blames laxity for late draw against Mathare United

A late goal by Klinsman Omulanga was all Mathare United needed to snatch a point from bottom placed Wazito FC on Saturday.

With about twenty minutes to go, Wazito were leading 3-1 but the ‘slum boys' never die attitude ensured they picked something from the match. The hosts' assistant coach George Midenyo says the technical bench is happy with the outcome, but the team could have done better.

"This is a new team, but we are happy the way it played. There was a fighting spirit and yes, we managed to get the goals we wanted. Laxity cost us, we thought we have won the game and that invited them to our area and we ended up conceding; we are going to work on it.

"Some players are not fit, they cannot consistently give the same output for the entire match but it is a work on progress, but we are happy with the outcome,” Midenyo told Goal.

It was Wazito's second point in ten league matches.
