Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he was completely unaware of Como's existence as a football club before embarking on a journey that has seen him lead the Italian outfit from the second tier to the Champions League. The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder followed his instincts to join the project, transforming a holiday destination into a European powerhouse.
Como are moving swiftly to tie down dynamic winger Assane Diao to a long-term deal amid rising interest from several European heavyweights. The 21-year-old has rapidly established himself as an indispensable figure under Cesc Fabregas, combining explosive attacking quality with vital defensive discipline to earn a proposed extension running until 2031.
