Beyond the titles and the money

Newcastle United manager Matthias Jaissle has offered a formal apology to the travelling supporters following a disastrous 4-1 defeat against Coventry City. Despite the heavy scoreline marking a second consecutive away hammering for the Magpies, the German coach remarkably claimed the performance was not their worst showing of the season.

Frank Lampard commended an immaculate team display after ruthless Coventry City battered Newcastle United 4-1 at home on Monday night. The historic triumph pulled the Sky Blues out of the drop zone and secured their first top-flight home win since promotion, capping off back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time in 24 years.
