Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott has become the latest footballer in southern Spain to have his residence targeted by criminals while away on club duty for Real Betis. Several masked intruders forced their way into the striker's suburban Seville property during last Saturday's La Liga encounter against Barcelona at La Cartuja.
Real Betis midfielder Facundo Bernal has been slapped with a four-game suspension following a fiery clash with Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal. The Uruguayan was sent off after headbutting the teenager during a dramatic 5-2 defeat at the weekend.
Former Barcelona defender Hector Bellerin has gone viral after referee body-camera footage captured him pleading for a stunning Giovani Lo Celso volley to stand during Real Betis' high-scoring La Liga defeat on Saturday. The Spanish full-back stepped in with a light-hearted argument while visiting players surrounded the official to demand a review.
