Ethan Ampadu has ridden quite the professional rollercoaster over the course of his career, with former Leeds defender Matt Kilgallon assessing that journey during an exclusive interview with GOAL. The versatile Wales international has gone from joining Chelsea at the age of 16, finding himself “way off it” during a loan spell at Sheffield United before becoming a talismanic “leader” of men at Elland Road.
Leeds United handed a new contract to Brenden Aaronson after seeing the USMNT star head towards the final year of his previous deal, with Matt Kilgallon telling GOAL why those terms are much more than a transfer fee ploy. The Whites could have found themselves in a tricky position over the summer, as they mulled over a potential sale, but have avoided those difficult conversations for now.
Leeds are ready to pile pressure on under-fire Michael Carrick, ex-Whites star Matt Kilgallon has told GOAL, with another passionate War of the Roses clash set to take place at Elland Road on Sunday. The hosts head into that game with confidence running high and have been told that if you contain Bruno Fernandes, then you “stop” the misfiring Red Devils as a collective.
James Trafford has faced some uncomfortable questions for the first time as a Leeds United player, on the back of his £40 million ($53m) transfer from Manchester City, but Matt Kilgallon has told GOAL why the England international can be likened to David Seaman and Jordan Pickford. The 24-year-old shot-stopper has become a record-shattering addition at Elland Road.
