Corinthians head coach Clarence Seedorf has urged his players to channel their inner fire down the final stretch of the Campeonato Brasileiro season following Friday's crucial 2-0 victory over relegation rivals Mirassol. Former Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard has been ordered to work away from his Corinthians team-mates over the coming days after sustaining rib injuries in Brazil. The 33-year-old attacking midfielder is currently undergoing close daily monitoring by club doctors as he battles to regain full fitness for their survival push.

Clarence Seedorf endured a nightmare debut as Corinthians manager following a dramatic 3-2 defeat away to Vasco da Gama. The loss dropped the Timao into the Brasileirao relegation zone, but the Dutch coach remained confident of a quick recovery.
