England will play Switzerland in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 after beating Slovakia in the last 16 of Euro 2024 after extra-time. The Three Lions had to come from behind to win the game thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. However, there were some angry scenes at full-time, with Calzona spotted pushing Rice in the chest after seeing his team's hopes ended by the Three Lions.

Slovakia's frustration at losing to England is perhaps understandable given they were within a whisker of a famous victory over the Three Lions. Bellingham managed to force extra-time with a brilliant bicycle kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time to keep England's hopes of winning the tournament alive. Harry Kane then went on to head home the winner at the start of extra-time, but there's no denying it was another underwhelming performance from Southgate's men.

England have won their last four games when conceding first at the European Championship. France are the only team to have won more games after conceding the opening goal in the competition’s history.

England now have some time to recover before they take on Switzerland in the last 16 of Euro 2024 on Saturday. The Swiss booked their place in the last eight by comfortably beating defending champions Italy 2-0.
