As per Calciomercato, the full-back wants to continue his journey in Europe, but Milan have reportedly reached an agreement over a transfer fee with Al-Hilal. The Saudi club have offered around €35 million (£30m/$40m) to Milan and €20m (£17m/$23m) in salary to Hernandez.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Al-Hilal are expected to confirmed the arrival of coach Simone Inzaghi from Inter. The club are also eyeing a move for Hernandez and there was a feeling that the French defender will be swayed by the big money on offer. However, Hernandez's agents have been in talks with Atletico as the player wishes to continue his career in Europe.

However, Atletico hope to convince Milan to accept a lower fee by offering their player Nahuel Molina as part of the deal, but the San Siro side would prefer cash so that they can fund a move for an alternative replacement.

    WHAT NEXT FOR AC MILAN?

Mounting on the problems at San Siro is the Rossoneri's exit from the Settlement Agreement they signed with the European Football Federation in 2022. This makes it more likely that a big name will be leaving the Italian club in the coming transfer window.
