Ajax have now lost Mika Godts. The Belgian has made the move to Paris Saint-Germain, leaving a sizeable vacancy on the left flank. In Amsterdam, Godts developed into one of the Eredivisie's most threatening wingers. His combination of pace, dribbling ability and penetration made him difficult to defend against. Ajax must now try to find exactly that type of threat again.
He was called up only three times by Julian Nagelsmann and missed the last two major tournaments. Julian Brandt’s start at Ajax is now fuelling hopes of a comeback in the Germany team – just like Nagelsmann’s successor.
