Barcelona sit top of LaLiga with 21 points from seven matches, five clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid, and the mood around the club is one of genuine confidence. The foundation is solid, built on performances like their 3-1 win at Sevilla in September, and the squad returns from the international break with momentum intact.

The central figure in that optimism is Lamine Yamal. Former Golden Boy winner Anderson told GOAL there is simply no one close to the teenager in world football right now, while Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta, who witnessed Lionel Messi's rise firsthand, admitted the winger's start to the Liga season is far from normal. A World Cup winner at 19, Yamal is now a serious Ballon d'Or contender.

Yet the international break brings its own complications. Hansi Flick faces real concerns over the workloads of Yamal and Anthony Gordon after heavy minutes on international duty, with a demanding domestic schedule ahead. Alejandro Balde's situation adds further squad complexity, as his reduced game time under Flick has attracted interest from PSG and both Manchester clubs ahead of a potential January exit.

On a brighter note, Barcelona have secured Raphinha on a new contract and are moving to tie down rising talents Gerard Martin and Brian Farinas. Getafe visit Spotify Camp Nou on October 10, and the leaders will be expected to extend their advantage at the top.
