They dismantled the Detroit Lions in the opener, cruising to a 27-13 win that wasn’t nearly as tight as the scoreboard suggested. A few nights later on Thursday Night Football, they smothered the Washington Commanders 27-18, again allowing a meaningless late score to make the contest appear closer than it truly was.

Week 3 brings their first road trip, with a visit to the 0-2 Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland is reeling after being hammered 41-17 by the Baltimore Ravens, though in Week 1 they nearly stunned the Cincinnati Bengals—before Joe Burrow went down with turf toe. Now the Browns will be desperate to notch their first victory in front of their own fans.

Jerry Jeudy and Harold Fannin Jr. have teamed up for 228 receiving yards on 21 catches, while David Njoku has pulled in seven receptions.

Cleveland’s ground game has struggled, averaging only 82 rushing yards per contest, with Quinshon Judkins leading the way at 61 yards on 10 carries. Defensively, the Browns are allowing 29 points and 191.5 yards per game. Devin Bush tops the tackle chart with 15, Myles Garrett has collected 3.5 sacks, and Greg Newsome II has broken up a pair of passes.

Browns vs Packers Fantasy Football

Jordan Love (17.2 projected fpts) has opened the season on a steady note, delivering QB17 numbers in Week 1 (15.9 points) and jumping to QB11 in Week 2 (20.9 points). He’s tossed multiple touchdown passes in both outings, averaging 8.5 and 9.4 yards per attempt. The upside is clear, but given Green Bay’s tendency to ease off the gas once they’re ahead—a trend dating back to last year—he’s best viewed as a strong QB2 for now.

Josh Jacobs (13.8 projected fpts) has picked up where he left off in some respects, tallying 150 rushing yards and two touchdowns after a 2024 season where he piled up 1,329 yards and 15 scores. Still, his efficiency has lagged, managing just 3.5 yards per carry through two weeks.

That doesn’t get any easier against a Browns defense that has been stout against the run. They limited Bengals back Chase Brown to just 43 yards on 21 attempts in Week 1, and their showing last Sunday turned even more heads. With the unit largely healthy—only safety Grant Delpit is in doubt—it’s clear Cleveland’s front is no pushover.

Meanwhile, rookie Quinshon Judkins (7.8 projected fpts) finally made his NFL debut in Week 2 after missing time due to legal issues and a prolonged contract battle. The ex-Ohio State standout, who rushed for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns in his senior year, showed a glimpse of his explosiveness with a 31-yard dash and finished with 61 yards on 10 carries, even if he didn’t find the end zone.

On the other side, veteran Joe Flacco (12.4 projected fpts) has stumbled out of the gate, ranking QB20 (12.2 points) in Week 1 before dropping to QB28 (8.8 points) in Week 2. He was even benched late in Sunday’s loss. It feels like we’re inching closer to seeing Dillon Gabriel get his first start, though Cleveland may want to let Flacco battle through this gauntlet of opponents—Green Bay now, followed by Detroit and Minnesota. For fantasy purposes, Flacco would be a QB2 in the right matchup, but this week? It’s a nightmare scenario.

According to ESPN, Green Bay have a strong 70.3% chance to prevail, while Cleveland’s chances sit at 29.4%, with a slim remainder allotted for a potential tie.

Cleveland’s defense, anchored by Myles Garrett, should be stout enough to keep this from turning into a blowout. The Browns possess one of the few front-seven and secondary combinations capable of throwing a wrench into the Packers’ offensive rhythm. Still, if Joe Flacco is under center against Green Bay’s ferocious pass rush, it sets the stage for multiple turnovers and the possibility of a lopsided, double-digit defeat.
