'No-one deserves it more' - Harry Kane hailed for being a 'true Bayern Munich player' as England star aims to end trophy jinx with Bundesliga title

Despite breaking countless records - becoming Tottenham and England’s all-time leading goalscorer - and collecting several individual accolades, prolific frontman Kane is still waiting on a first piece of collective silverware.

A 2023 transfer to Germany was supposed to bring that barren run to a close, but uncharacteristic struggles were endured at the Allianz Arena during his debut campaign. Elusive major honours are, however, beginning to fall within reach.

Bayern are closing in on a Bundesliga title triumph, with one more win potentially enough to get them over that line, and Kane is readying himself for a long-awaited celebration. At 31 years of age, career-long patience is finally about to be rewarded.

Hoeness has told Sky Deutschland of seeing Kane collect a winners’ medal: “If we win the championship, which I very much hope, then no-one deserves it more than him. He fights, he works, he scores an incredible number of goals, but he also works for the team. You can feel that he absolutely wants to win this title.”

Hoeness added that Kane has become “a true FC Bayern player”, with the target being found on 80 occasions through 88 appearances for the German giants. The England captain is expected to stick around and pursue more tangible success in 2025-26 despite seeing a return to the Premier League speculated on.
