    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Dele had not taken in a competitive appearance of any kind for over two years when stepping off the bench during a meeting with AC Milan on March 15. He lasted just nine minutes before being shown a red card - following a VAR review.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The former England international has not figured under Cesc Fabregas since, despite being named among the substitutes for Como on a regular basis. He has been forced to watch on as they have confirmed their top-flight status for 2025-26.

  • WHAT DELE ALLI SAID

Dele is enjoying being part of the fold, saying in a social media post after joining in celebrations as Como claimed a 1-0 victory away at Parma: "Boys are on fire! Let's keep it going, final push!" He added a couple of hashtags, which read "positive vibrations" and “I am > I was".

  • WHAT NEXT?

Ignoring the past and focusing on the future should serve Dele well. His ability remains without question, given what he has previously achieved in the Premier League and with the Three Lions, and a spark should be rekindled once he is back to full match sharpness.
