Dele Alli slammed for 'poor showing' of not turning up to Everton's final home game of season as ex-Tottenham star is told first thing he needs to do after leaving Toffees
Dele was not in attendance for Everton’s last outing at Goodison Park in 2023-24, against Sheffield United on May 11, despite Sean Dyche’s squad using that game as an opportunity to thank their loyal fan base on Merseyside for their support.
WHAT BRYAN KING SAID
Former Everton scout Bryan King has questioned Dele’s absence, while also setting him the challenge of getting a stagnating career back on track. King has told Goodison News: “Alli does not have a future at Everton. The first thing that he needs to do is start playing football again, if he wants to that is. He has made an awful lot of money, he is quite financially secure and he needs to rediscover that hunger for football again. Otherwise, he will go down as another marvellous talent who has gone to waste. Everton gave him a chance and he didn’t take it, but the least he could have done was shown up and clapped the supporters, that was a poor showing from him.”
