Mateo Kovacic, Kalvin Phillips and Savinho are all ruled out due to injury issues, while Rodri, Ederson, Phil Foden and Josko Gvardiol will need once-overs ahead of kickoff.

James Trafford could retain his spot in goal after a clean sheet on his debut.

The midfield trio of Bernardo Silva, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders is expected to stay together, with Phil Foden competing with Oscar Bobb for a starting position on the right wing.

Erling Haaland is the undoubted choice to lead the attack.

For one who scored twice in the 4-0 win here last season, James Maddison remains sidelined with an ACL injury. The club's infirmary also consists of Radu Dragusin, Dejan Kulusevski, Bryan Gil, Manor Solomon and Kota Takai.

In better news, Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie may be fit after missing the Burnley game.
