Juventus are unlikely to let Douglas Luiz leave the club on loan this summer, despite strong interest from Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and Everton. Luiz endured a nightmare debut campaign in Turin after leaving Aston Villa last summer, as the Brazilian started three Serie A matches. The midfielder now wants to return to England but his move is being blocked by the Italian giants.
Tottenham Hotspur thought they had a deal in place for Morgan Gibbs-White after they activated the midfielder's release clause, however, Nottingham Forest refused to bow to pressure, as they threatened legal action against their Premier League rivals. The transfer saga finally ended last weekend when Gibbs-White signed a record-breaking contract at the City Ground.
Morgan Gibbs-White has extended his contract with Nottingham Forest until 2028. The 25-year-old, who has become a central figure in the team’s resurgence, was tied to the club until 2027, but Forest were always eager to extend that commitment further., despite Tottenham triggering his £60 million ($81m) release clause.
