Webb throws VAR under the bus for error in Chelsea's win vs Fulham

PGMOL chief Howard Webb has admitted that Fulham's opening goal against Chelsea was wrongfully ruled out as Rodrigo Muniz's challenge should not have been considered a foul. Joshua King looked to have given Fulham a 21st-minute lead, only for the goal to be overturned by referee Robert Jones. After a VAR check it was deemed that Muniz fouled Trevoh Chalobah in the build-up.

Raheem Sterling has reportedly shut the door on lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and the United States, instead vowing to remain in London and wait for the January window to open. The 30-year-old forward has no intention of uprooting his young family from the capital and will continue training away from Chelsea’s main squad at Cobham.

Bayern agree loan deal for Jackson — includes obligation to buy

Bayern Munich have finally landed Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after days of uncertainty, agreeing a new loan-to-buy deal worth a total of £70.5 million (€81.5m/$95.4m). The Bundesliga champions will pay an increased loan fee of £14.25m, while an obligation to buy for £56.2m has been inserted at the Blues’ insistence. Jackson had already agreed personal terms and will join on a five-year deal.
