Caernarfon Overview

Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stepped back onto the training pitch to assist a lower-league club in his native Norway while assessing his next permanent role. The 53-year-old has been lending his expertise to fifth-tier outfit FCK in Kristiansund after missing out on a return to Old Trafford earlier this year.

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has issued a stark warning that the club could face relegation from the Premier League. The Dutchman believes the competitive nature of the top flight means Michael Carrick's struggling side are in genuine danger of an unthinkable drop.

The long-standing feud between Erik ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo has reignited after the former Manchester United manager launched a scathing assessment of the Portuguese icon’s decline. Reflecting on their turbulent time together at Old Trafford, the Dutchman suggested that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been unable to perform at the highest level for several years.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Michael Carrick is still the right man to take Manchester United forward, despite a nine-game winless run that has left them 17th in the Premier League. Solskjaer also revealed he offered to step in after Ruben Amorim's sacking in January, but spoke highly of Carrick, his former assistant, when the club were weighing up their options.
