Arsenal fall and make an early exit from the League Cup

Arsenal's Carabao Cup encounter with Fleetwood Town was hit by a bizarre delay on Tuesday evening as an unauthorised drone forced officials to suspend play. The fourth-round fixture was only minutes old when the mystery object was spotted, leading to concerns over safety at Highbury Stadium.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has thrown his weight behind Viktor Gyokeres as the Swedish international continues his search for a first goal of the season. Despite a slow start to life in the final third, the Gunners boss is confident that the striker’s hard work will soon translate into a clinical edge in front of goal.
