Rafael van der Vaart has launched a scathing attack on young Ajax defender Jorthy Mokio following their chaotic 5-3 victory over Sion in the Conference League. The former Dutch international claimed the youngster displays a concerning lack of pragmatism and believes he is better than his current level.

Ajax have now lost Mika Godts. The Belgian made the move to Paris Saint-Germain, leaving a sizeable vacancy on the left flank. In Amsterdam, Godts developed into one of the Eredivisie's most threatening wingers. His combination of speed, dribbling ability and penetration made him difficult to defend against.
