The New York Giants (1-3) head south to the Caesars Superdome for a Week 5 matchup with the winless New Orleans Saints (0-4).
For the first time all season, the Giants finally showed some fight and came away with a much-needed victory. Few expected them to topple the undefeated Chargers, but Brian Daboll's squad dug in, holding a slim 13-10 lead at the break and refusing to let it slip, grinding out a 21-18 win. It wasn't pretty, but for a franchise starving for momentum, it was a breakthrough.
The Saints, meanwhile, continue to find new ways to come up short. Against Buffalo, they had the upset within reach, trailing by just five heading into the fourth quarter. But once again, crunch time was their undoing. Outscored 10-3 in the final frame, New Orleans stumbled to a 31-19 defeat, dropping to 0-4 and leaving fans wondering when, or if, this team will finally turn the corner.
New Orleans Saints vs New York Giants kick-off time

Team news & squads
New Orleans Saints team news
The Saints had five players sit out Wednesday's practice, headlined by Chase Young, who's already been ruled out for Sunday with a calf injury. On a brighter note, tight ends Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill returned to practice after starting the season on the PUP list. Meanwhile, Juwan Johnson and Trevor Penning were on the sidelines, watching but not participating.
Through four games, Spencer Rattler has been steadily putting up numbers, tossing for 765 yards with five touchdowns and just one interception, completing 67.1% of his passes. On the ground, Alvin Kamara has led the Saints' rushing attack with 256 yards and a touchdown, proving he’s still a force between the tackles.
In the receiving corps, Juwan Johnson tops the team with 204 yards and a touchdown on 22 catches, while Chris Olave has hauled in 26 receptions for 185 yards. Rashid Shaheed has also made his presence felt, adding 174 receiving yards and a score, giving the Saints’ passing attack multiple reliable options to work with.

New York Giants team news
Over in New York, the Giants' injury report looked more like a novel, listing 13 players, including both quarterbacks, Jaxson Dart and Russell Wilson. The good news: both QBs fully participated. The bad news: standout running back Tyrone Tracy missed practice with a shoulder issue, and defensive stalwart Dexter Lawrence was sidelined with illness.
The Giants' safety group is a mess. Dane Belton and Jevon Holland were limited, while Tyler Nubin missed practice entirely with a groin injury. That leaves only Beau Brade healthy—and he's mostly a special teams contributor. Depth is thin, and it shows.
On the plus side, seeing the rookie duo of Dart and Cam Skattebo on the field is a relief. The Giants' offense would be practically non-existent without them.
Also, keep an eye on Michael Schmitz Jr.. Even if he's active, the fourth-year center has been trending toward a benching after a shaky four-week stretch.
Jaxson Dart has been modest through the air, completing 65% of his passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, but he's shown the ability to make plays when needed. On the ground, Skattebo has been a workhorse, racking up 181 rushing yards and finding the end zone twice. In the Giants' receiving corps, Malik Nabers had emerged as a big-play threat with 18 catches for 271 yards and two scores before his season-ending injury, leaving a void.
Wan'Dale Robinson has stepped up with 18 receptions for 237 yards and a touchdown, while Darius Slayton adds 135 receiving yards to round out a solid, if injury-hit, passing attack.

Saints vs Giants Fantasy Football
Jaxson Dart (16.3 projected W5 fpts) didn’t exactly set the world on fire through the air in his NFL debut, but he showed enough to make fantasy managers sit up and take notice. He connected on 13 of 20 throws (65%) for a modest 111 yards (5.5 Y/A) and one score, but the real juice came on the ground — 54 rushing yards and a touchdown. That dual-threat element bailed him out in a big way, vaulting him into QB10 territory with 19.8 points despite pedestrian passing stats.
For now, I'd still keep him pegged as a solid QB2, but let's be real — that fringe QB1 territory is going to be his neighborhood as long as he keeps running like that.
Cam Skattebo (12.0 projected W5 fpts) is about as bankable as it gets heading into Week 5. He's locked in as a must-start for most fantasy players, and with the Saints on tap, it feels like another rock-solid outing is on deck. He’s not flashy, but he’s steady — the kind of guy you don't think twice about plugging into your lineup.
Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler (14.8 projected W5 fpts) has been more game-manager than gunslinger through four weeks. He's averaging a meager 5.2 yards per attempt (30th in the league) with a touchdown rate that sits at 3.4% (26th). On the bright side, he's only thrown one pick, but that's about where the compliments end. Despite ranking fifth in total dropbacks, the Saints' passing attack has been a wet blanket — no explosive plays, no ceiling games, and certainly no fantasy fireworks.
Rattler hasn’t topped 218 passing yards in a single game, even though he’s fourth in the league in total attempts. That's a brutal combo, and it’s left him finishing inside the top-20 quarterbacks just once. If you’re looking for a silver lining, he did notch a season-high 49 rushing yards last week, which at least gives him some floor appeal as a lower-end QB2.
And then there’s Alvin Kamara (10.2 projected W5 fpts). The veteran is still hanging around as a starting option, but the shine is fading. His efficiency per touch is slipping, and with Kendre Miller gradually siphoning work, Kamara’s upside feels capped. Still, he’s got the benefit of a cushy matchup against the Giants, which should be enough to keep him in RB2 territory this week.
Saints vs Giants Game Predictions
Take Malik Nabers out of the equation, and this Giants offense turns into something that borders on unwatchable. The saving grace? That defensive front just played its best game of the year and now gets a juicy matchup against rookie Spencer Rattler, a quarterback who’s looked downright rattled any time defenders get in his face.
Don't expect fireworks from either passer in this one, but the edge leans Big Blue. New York's defense should control the tempo, and Jaxson Dart figures to make just enough throws to notch his second career win. Sometimes, ugly football is still winning football.
