The Philadelphia Eagles return to Lincoln Financial Field in Week 8 for a divisional showdown with the New York Giants on Sunday.
New York heads into this matchup still stinging from a gut-wrenching 33-32 loss in Denver, where the game slipped away on a walk-off field goal. It was a tough break for the Giants, who had been poised to build some momentum heading into this crucial NFC East clash.
As for the defending champions, the Eagles managed to steady the ship after back-to-back losses to the Broncos and Giants earlier in the month. They bounced back with a gritty 28-22 road win over the Minnesota Vikings, leading throughout but never quite putting the game out of reach. Still, the victory provided a much-needed reset as Philadelphia looks to regain its dominant form.
Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants kick-off time

Team news & squads
Philadelphia Eagles team news
The Eagles are set to welcome back some major reinforcements, with Landon Dickerson, Jalen Carter, and Quinyon Mitchell all expected to be full participants for the rematch.
Jalen Hurts has been steering the Eagles’ offense with calm authority, piling up 1,498 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and just one interception. Saquon Barkley continues to be the engine of the ground game, churning out 369 rushing yards and four total scores, while DeVonta Smith has emerged as the team’s top target, hauling in 38 passes for 504 yards and two touchdowns. Since that early-October stumble against New York, Philadelphia’s attack has hit its stride — Hurts looks composed, spreading the wealth with precision and cutting down on the kind of mistakes that once stalled drives.

New York Giants team news
The Giants, meanwhile, have injury headaches to deal with. Corner Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland are both nursing knee issues and remain question marks for Sunday. Center John Michael Schmitz is still navigating concussion protocol, though the team hopes he’s made progress. And then there's Darius Slayton, who missed the first clash with the Eagles due to a hamstring injury — his availability could be crucial this time around.
Adding to the uncertainty, New York is in the middle of a kicking conundrum after parting ways with Jude McAtamney. If Adebo is sidelined, it’s an even bigger concern for a secondary that was already paper-thin. The likely solution? Cor'Dale Flott, who’s quietly putting together a breakout season, may be thrust into shadowing the opponent’s top receivers until Adebo is back.
On offense, Jaxson Dart has been mostly solid, throwing for 791 yards with seven touchdowns against three interceptions. Cam Skattebo remains the heartbeat of the backfield, racking up 398 rushing yards and five scores, while Wan’Dale Robinson continues to shine as the team's most reliable receiver, posting 35 catches for 446 yards and two touchdowns. Still, the Giants’ Achilles’ heel has been their red-zone execution — too many drives fizzle out just shy of the goal line, leaving crucial points on the field and opportunities wasted.
Injury report: Anthony Johnson Jr. (PUP), Brian Burns (questionable), Paulson Adebo (questionable), Jevon Holland (questionable), Jameis Winston (inactive).

Eagles vs Giants Fantasy Football
Jalen Hurts turned in what might’ve been his most complete performance of the season on Sunday in Minnesota, a masterclass in efficiency and precision. The Eagles’ star quarterback connected on 19 of 23 throws (an eye-popping 82.6%) for 326 yards and three touchdowns, slicing through the Vikings secondary like a hot knife through butter. Hurts was dialed in on the deep ball too, hitting 9 of 12 passes that traveled at least 10 yards and going 5-for-6, with all three scores, on attempts of 20 yards or more. His 79-yard strike to DeVonta Smith marked his third completion of 40-plus yards this year, tying him for the league lead in bombs dropped downfield.
Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley (projected 13.9 Week 8 fantasy points) is in a bit of a funk, and that's putting it mildly. The do-it-all back mustered just 4.7 fantasy points last week against the Vikings, his lowest total since Week 11 of the 2022 campaign. Across his last two outings, he's managed only 12.4 combined points, his coldest two-game stretch since the start of the 2021 season. The silver lining? He and the rest of the Eagles will have a shot at redemption this week against the Giants in what feels like a grudge match waiting to happen.
For Philadelphia, the offense finally looked like the explosive juggernaut of last season, uncorking touchdowns of 37, 79, and 26 yards. Two of those went to A.J. Brown (projected 9.7 Week 8 fpts), who punctuated his monster day with a silky sideline grab to seal the win. If this is a glimpse of the Eagles' new groove, Brown is about to re-enter the fantasy elite, and fast.
Across the field, Jaxson Dart had one of the more chaotic stat lines you'll see all season in Denver. The rookie completed just 45.5% of his passes (15-for-33), yet somehow still racked up 283 yards through the air thanks largely to a ridiculous 18.9 yards per completion, the highest mark by any quarterback in a single game this year. He started hot with a 44-yard touchdown to a wide-open Daniel Bellinger, then caught a break on a deflected pass intended for Wan’Dale Robinson that landed in the hands of Theo Johnson for a 41-yard score. Dart’s accuracy remains a work in progress, but his ability to create chunk plays (and contribute as a runner) keeps him on the fringes of QB1 territory.
As for Cam Skattebo (projected 11.6 Week 8 fpts), the bruising back didn’t break off any highlight-reel runs but did showcase his versatility by taking a dump-off on 3rd-and-14 all the way to pay dirt. He continues to embody the Panthers’ ground-and-pound mentality, and his physical style ensures he stays firmly in the RB1/RB2 conversation going forward.
Eagles vs Giants Game Predictions
The New York Giants have been one of the league's surprise stories this season, riding the energy of rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo to heights few expected. Their latest triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles was the kind of upset that makes headlines—but context matters. That victory came with the Eagles missing Jalen Carter and later losing Quinyon Mitchell midgame. Both defensive anchors are back in the lineup this week, and with Jalen Hurts fresh off his sharpest outing of the season, Philadelphia looks primed to flip the script on its divisional rival.
The Eagles appear to have rediscovered their swagger, and this feels like the perfect chance to settle the score. It’s worth noting, though, that it was Philly's previous meltdown that helped spark the Giants' offensive turnaround in the first place. The Giants, for all their growth, are walking into a hornet’s nest in Philadelphia, an environment where even seasoned teams tend to stumble.
Expect Hurts and the Eagles to take care of business with a statement win. Still, the Giants have shown enough fight and flair to make this more than just a routine divisional clash, they'll make the Eagles earn every bit of that revenge.
